PetMicrotinic®PP
Microtinic®PP is a rumen-protected microencapsulated form of Vitamin PP (Nicotinic Acid) for dairy cows and ruminants.
Nicotinic acid elicits vasodilatory actions that may be beneficial for cows under heat stress. Supplementation of nicotinic acid during the transition period and in fresh cows may be useful in reducing plasma NEFA concentration due to its anti-lipolytic effect.
Supplementing nicotinic acid in the form of Microtinic®PP prevents ruminal degradation of niacin. Just 1 g of Microtinic®PP delivers the same intestinal nicotinic acid availability as 3.75 g of free niacin.
In Microtinic®PP, niacin is microencapsulated in a lipid matrix to bypass ruminal degradation and ensure high intestinal bioavailability.
Once in the intestine, the lipases start to digest the lipid matrix, releasing niacin and making it available for absorption.
Vetagro’s microencapsulation technology ensures niacin absorption in the small intestine through controlled particle size. The protective design of Microtinic®PP is specifically adapted to the digestive transit time of ruminants.
